I didn't go far, just to the other side of the Minch. It wasn't a "bucket and spade" holiday, though we enjoyed barbecuing on the beach and I swam in the sea. I may not have been preaching every Sunday but I spent a lot of time in church - various churches in fact. We didn't party the night away but we raised the roof at the HebCelt Festival. It was nice simply being in another place doing familiar but different things and with other friends. And when one begins to look forward to resuming one's regular routine you know that the break has served its purpose. Fàilte air ais!
