Everyone will sit under their own vine and under their own fig tree, and no one will make them afraid, for the LORD Almighty has spoken. Micah 4.4
What a treat we enjoyed at the Breakish Hall last night. Led by their talented yet self-effacing instructor, Canadian Gàidheal Angus MacKenzie, a youth ensemble of traditional musicians from all over Skye wowed and delighted us with an evening full of toe-tapping dance tunes. Like the midges, the hall committee was out in force, plying us with hot and cold refreshments, while we were blessed with a fair smattering of visitors and loyal parents, grandparents and younger siblings. So it was a multi-generational, international gathering firmly rooted in this talented and hospitable community. As such, it was nothing short of a taste of heaven. This is what it looks like to inhabit Micah's vision of a realm in which God's children live together in just harmony, without fear and in benevolent fellowship with God and all his creatures. Even those midges felt (rather too) welcome!
