And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4.19
Taking to the great outdoors with my daughter in a "final hurrah" before her return to University, I suspect I am preparing for us both: water, snacks, insect repellent... It is easy to overlook such tedious requirements in the excitement of the occasion but, as the cliché has it, "failing to prepare is tantamount to preparing to fail". How reassuring then that, in life, God is forever anticipating our needs so that, when we find ourselves wanting or at a loss, we have "the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus" to call on. What does that mean? That in following Jesus we are equipped to navigate the journey of life and reach our destination: home forever in the New Creation.
