Looking down from Sgurr nan Gillean at the end of our Cuillin traverse was like peering at a map. All fo the peninsulae of Skye pointing, like fingers, towards the surrounding sea. And then beyond to the Outer Hebrides, the northern Inner Hebrides, and then from Torridon to Ardnamurchan on the mainland. The pristine weather certainly helped!


It made me think of how God sees everything. And not just the surface of things; he sees into the heart. We tend to recoil in horror at the very thought - perhaps because we assume God's only interest is in judging us. But what is that is not the case? If you consider God's all-seeing eye as being filled with compassion, looking for opportunities to comfort and encourage, would that make a difference?
